Local News: ‘Shabu’ Peddler Falls to Victorias City Cops
A resident of Victorias City suspected to be peddling shabu was arrested by local police authorities, Friday afternoon at corner Don Miguel Osorio St. and Kalantiao St., Brgy. VI in the City.
Police report revealed that William Keynel Abong, 26, of General McArthur St., Brgy. VI was collared following a buy bust operation led by PO2 Lindsey G. Caraballe for violation of Republic Act (RA) 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Seized from the subject’s possession were; 3 elongated heat-sealed transparent sachet containing suspected shabu, P2,511.00 cash placed inside a wallet. Also confiscated from him were two pieces of P500 marked bills used during the operation, one lighter and one cellular phone.
He is detained at Victorias City Police Station while criminal charges are readied to be filed against him.
In a separate report, a woman’s body was found at Brgy. Bantayanon shoreline in Brgy. Bantayanon, Calatrava town.
PSInsp. Ramil Sarona, Calatrava Police chief reported that the body remains unidentified but it is that of a female, about 20-25 years old and four feet-11 inches in height and with a shoulder length hair.
The victim was fair in complexion and wearing a blue-colored short pants and violet sleeveless shirt with red butterfly print.
Initial investigation said, the victim may have drowned based on the examination conducted by the municipal health officer, Dr. Nicasio P. Boldero. Follow-up probe to identify the victim is underway.*
