"The RMP is writing a missionary history which the church is proud." These were words of Bishop Julio Labayen during its 10th anniversary in the service to

the peasantry in the country.

The volunteers and staff of RMP Bacolod Center in the Visayas pose at the Scala Retreat House in Bacolod City.*

The Rural Missionaries of the Philippines (RMP) may not have great stories of success to tell now. Nonetheless, it continues to make its presence: "a statement in the midst of God’s poor," says Bishop Julio Labayen. In Negros they are in the outskirts of Bago, Escalante, Don Salvador Benedicto and Dumaguete.
