Local News: Peddler Falls, More ‘Shabu’ Seized in Victorias City Raid

A resident of Cadiz City suspected to be peddling illegal drugs was arrested in Victorias City by elements of the local police authorities, Thursday.

Rodmer Estorga, 27, of Brgy. Zone 5, Purok Malipayon, Cadiz City was apprehended for alleged violation of Republic Act (RA) 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 by PO2’s Wilson A. Lataquin, Lindsey G. Caraballe, Lawrence F. Mangco, and Wilson A. Lataquin under the supervision of PSupt. Alexander Muñoz.

The suspect, according to initial investigation was seen standing beside a waiting shed along Montinola St., appeared to be waiting for somebody and holding something on his palm. When checked, authorities recovered 3 small heat-sealed sachets containing suspected shabu which the suspect voluntarily turned over to them.

Also recovered were; a unit of Samsung cellular phone and P240.00.

Estorga is detained at Victorias City Police Station while investigation is underway.* (RRM)
