Local News: DSWD To 4Ps Beneficiaries: Notify Us If You Change Address

Beneficiaries of Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) should inform or notify their city or municipal links (C/ML) which is the field office of DSWD, in case they change address or transfer residence.

This is to avoid non-continuance of conditional cash grants because their C/ML assigned in the Pamilya areas to oversee the implementation of the program could no longer update their data if they change address without notice. Says Minda Brigoli, regional director, DSWD Region 6.

DSWD according to RD Brigoli noted that some Pantawid Pamilya beneficiaries have moved out and did not notify their CLs or MLs of their change of address. This resulted to the non-monitoring of their compliance to the Program conditions. Thus, they were not able to avail of their conditional cash grants.

Brigoli explained that the cash grants which beneficiaries receive mainly depend on their compliance to the program’s conditions. These conditions include availing of regular health care services, posting at least 85% school attendance among 3-14 years old children, and attendance to Family Development Sessions (FDS).

The qualified beneficiaries receive P500 per month for health and nutrition, and P300 per school month for education. A maximum of three children 14 years old and below are covered by the program.

"There is an ongoing massive updating of the profiles and data of all Pantawid Pamilya beneficiaries. We encourage everyone to cooperate and coordinate with their CLs or MLs as this will ensure that they will receive the appropriate cash grant due to them," Brigoli said.

Alma Jornadal, PIO, 4Ps said, beneficiaries may also coordinate with the local Social Welfare and Development Offices, or at the DSWD Regional Office VI at telephone numbers 337-6221 or 508-6867.

To date, a total of 253,245 households in Western Visayas are covered by Pantawid Pamilya.* (EBC)
