Local News: Residents Fish Body out of Kabankalan River

A 53-year old man was fished out of Hilabangan River, Sitio Sa Jose in Brgy. 6, Kabankalan City, Sunday morning by residents in the area.

Police report said, Brgy. 6 captain Dennis Oyos informed local police authorities led by SPO1 Eddie Casuyon about the discovery of the body which was later identified by relatives as Jesus Academia, of Sitio Pandan, Brgy. Camansi.

It was said that Academia tried to cross the Buslogan River at Sitio Pandan, Brgy. Camansi about 11AM, July 27, Friday, but was accidentally carried by the heavy current of water causing him to drown.

The body of the victim was brought to Sola Gracia Funeral Homes for post mortem examination.* (RRM)
