Gov. Alfredo G. Marañon, Jr. yesterday signed a Deed of Usufruct with Merceditas J. Montilla of Sipalay City for the latter’s property to be used by the Provincial Veterinary Office for the Negros First Satellite Breeding Center.

The signing was witnessed by Board Member Nehemias Dela Cruz, Sr., Provincial Administrator Enrique Pinongan, Provincial Consultant Roy Balicas, Provincial Veterinarian Renante Decena, Provincial Budget Officer Jose Percival Salado, Jr. and Provincial Legal Officer Jose Ma. Valencia at the Governor’s Office.

The property is situated at the back of the soon-to-rise public hospital in Barangay Canturay, Sipalay City. The grant of usufruct for the 15-hectare property is valid for a period of five years.

The breeding center will boost the productivity of poultry and livestock in the province under the management of the Provincial Veterinary Office.*(Capitol News)
