Effective June 30 this year, a total of 134 police personnel belonging to the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOPPO) were given their new ranks after getting promoted to the next higher rank.

Newly-promoted Negros Occidental PNP officers were given their new ranks during simple rites held at Camp Alfredo Montelibano last Monday with fellow officers lead by Police Superintendent Leo Agpangan extending their congratulations and with the attendance of their respective family members.*

Police Chief Inspector Rico Santotome Jr., spokesperson of the Negros Occidental Police PNP said that the new officers are Police Senior Inspector (captain) Teddy Velez of the Negros Occidental Provincial Public Safety Company and Police Inspector (lieutenant) Leonardo Cobing, the deputy police chief of EB Magalona PNP.

The order was read by Police Superintendent David Cachumbo, NOPPO Administrative officer, while Police Superintendent Leo Erwin Agpangan led the officers in extending their congratulations to the two commissioned and the 132 non-commissioned officers who got promoted.

Also present were the officer’s immediate family members like their spouses, children and friends during the simple recognition rites which immediately followed after the traditional Monday morning flag-raising ceremony held at the NOPPO parade grounds, added Santotome.

NOPPO officer in-charge Police Senior Superintendent Milko Lirazan also extended his congratulations to those newly promoted, Santotome said.*
