South African Ambassadress to the Philippines, her excellency Agnes Nyamande-Pitso, was the special guest of honor in the recent Cebu Institute of Medicine Alumni Association, Negros Occidental Chapter, dinner symposium at the Bacolod City New Gov’t Center especially welcomed by Mayor Evelio "Bing" Leonardia.

Pitso’s presence was a very opportune time for Aspen Philippines, which carries Aspen medical products manufactured by South Africa way back l92 years ago to counter numerous diseases one of which is malignancy and distributed in 100 countries for more than 10 years now, according to Aspen group Sales Manager, Jojo Rex Casaje.

He said the CIM chapter president was Dr. Severo Lacson II and that some 50 medical practitioners were joining the dinner apart from medical representatives in Western Visayas.

In the light of the increasing incidence of malignancy, the South African Pharm Co. has established 18 manufacturing sites in the world including, among others, Europe, the U.S., Middle East, Asia and South Africa.

Product distribution Philippine-wide started in April, 2012 and just like other pharmaceutical companies, Aspen envisions extending its assistance to the national government as well as to the country’s NGUs to counter an upsurge in numerous diseases worldwide especially upon learning about the city’s BING Medical Mission, Casaje stated.*(Bacolod City PIO)
