Local News: 2,500 Call Center Scholarship Slots Up for Negros Occidental

The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) here announced the availability of 2,500 scholarship slots to train call center agents.

TESDA Provincial Director Lorena T. Yunque said that the finishing course for call center agents National Certificate II is a 100-hour course which includes training in communication skills and customer service.

The scholarship training is funded under the Industry-based training for work scholarship program (I-TWSP) and co-managed by the Business Processing Association of the Philippines (BPAP), Call Center Association of the Philippines (CCAP) and the Bacolod-Negros Occidental Federation for Information Technology (BNEFIT) in response to the need for more call center agents in Negros Occidental. Bacolod City has been ranked among the top three next wave cities by BPAP and is host to major Call Center companies.

Applicants should be at least 18 years old, high school graduate and can speak English. Those interested for the scholarship slots may apply directly to the following TESDA registered schools in Bacolod City: Star of Asia, Inc. at DOLL Bldg., 6th Lac-son St. with telephone number 433-9963; CAPSI 2nd Floor BC Bldg, Araneta Street with contact number 704-2002; Philippine Call Center Institute (PPCI) at Door 214 St. Jude Bldg, Corner Gatus-lao-San Sebastian Streets with contact number 704-2507; Lasaltech-Bacolod at 3rd Floor, Lopue’s East Center Annex Building with telephone number 433-3520; VMA Global College located at Orola Bldg., Rizal Street with telephone number 476-5256; Negros Occidental Language and Information Technology Center (NOLITC) at Paglaum Sports Complex, Hernaez Street with telephone number 435-6092.
