A FEW "AFTERNOONS" AGO. At first, the teenage girl (in these photos) climbed up the roof through a tree at the left. She then climbed the bigger tree at the right, sending people at the COMELEC office and at nearby BAYS Center gym at San Juan Street at downtown Bacolod City to panic. The man also climbed to the roof to calm her down, to prevent her from possibly doing a fatal thing. When media people at the other building were shouting at her not to do any stupid thing, she was also shouting back at them. She was convinced to get down without, well, jumping from the roof, but later surprised everyone at the Negros Press Club office, but she was treated to a sumptous lunch there anyway. It turned out that the girl from the city was among those "abused and maltreated" and are being taken cared of by a government agency. She said she was just trying "to get some good air" atop the tree and the roof, but indeed her having been "abused by her stepfather" robbed some of her "senses".*(Arman Toga photos)
