Sports: BPS 1 Champion in Police Athletic League 2012

Bacolod Police Station (BPS) 1 Basketball Stallion Warriors Team was officially declared as the Over-all Champion in the just concluded Bacolod Police Athletic League Basketball Tournament 2012 in a hotly contested, controversial and exciting Battle of Bacolod Police Stations 1 to 10 basketball superstars held at the Regent Pearl Covered Court, Barangay Alijis, Saturday.

Bacolod Police Station 1 Basketball Team beat the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group, Criminal Investigation Service (CIDG-CIS) with an 8-point lead (108 to 100 points) in the final stretch when they made a tie at the score of 99 points all in the last 3 minutes of the game.

BPS 1 Basketball Team is headed by PCI Adonis Rosales with 4 points, Police Officers Dumate-24 points, Semillano-10 pts, Tundag-4 pts, Labating-5 pts, Jardinico-17, Daniela-3 pts, Ortiz-9 pts, Villarias-1 pts, Montaño-3 pts, Moncatar-2 pts, Teodorico-11 pts, Cañete-7 pts, Beato-2 pts, with the support of Police Officer Ferrer total score of 108 points. Top scorer of the game was Police Officer Jardinico with 17 points.

CIDG-CIS Basketball Team is headed by PCI Cordero with 16 points, Police Officers Pagado-10 points, Nazareno-4 pts, Villarosa-4 pts, M. Lim-2 pts, Cadagat-10 pts, M. Cadagat-2 pts, Jessie Boy Lentorio-24 pts, Aplaon-7 pts, Raffles-7 pts, Jambaro-4 pts, with the full support of Police Officers Villaceran, Tan, Nazareno and Padayhag with a total score of 100 points. Top Scorer of the game was Jessie Boy Lentorio with 24 points.

The Bacolod Police Athletic League Basketball Tournament 2012 -First Conference is a project of the Bacolod City Police Office PSSupt. Ricardo De La Paz, City Police Director, Bacolod Police Station-7 Police Community Relations Office headed by PCI Levy G. Pangue and PNP personnel with PO3 Jennybelle Damilao-PCR Chief, Traffic Enforcer Dennis Yap. Referees were Cris Seran, Daniel Espinosa, Joel Bernabe, Honorio Contreras, Scorer. Sports Commissioner was Hermilo "Borro" Borromeo. The league was also sponsored by Bantay Banwa Group headed by Freddie Bomber Zayco-Chairman of Punta Bulata Resort, Vice-Chairmen Roberto Dot Soliven and Joseling Abello, Panaad Striders Elwin Javelosa- Founder, Joe Salvio-President, Nelbert Lamata, Andrian Chua, Beboy Antonio, Michael Javelosa, Erning Ledesma- RJK Services, Waterworld Purified Drinking Water- Roger Yap, Barangay Captain Donie De La Vega-Brgy. Alijis, Barangay Captain Leonardo Suansing- Brgy. Mansilingan, Barangay Captain Eman Rectra- Brgy. Vista Alegre and Negros Daily Bulletin.*
