Local News:14-Month Old Twins, Pa Hurt in Shooting

Fourteen-month old female twins and their father is still under treatment at the Bacolod Adventist Medical Center in Bacolod City after they were shot while on board a tricycle in Isabela town, Tuesday morning.

Police report said, Nathaniel Sararaña, 47, suffered injury on his right index finger; while his daughters, Natalie and Naira Queen, sustained gunshot wounds on the right foot and on the head, respectively.

The shooting incident occurred about 8:30AM last July 3 at Brgy. Libas, Isabela town. The victims were shot by five unidentified suspects using undetermined caliber of firearms.

PSInsp. Jayson Mangilimutan conducted hot pursuit operation to arrest the suspects who fled after the incident.

Recovered from the crime scene were; 1 empty cartridge of suspected caliber .45 pistol, one live cartridge of undetermined caliber of firearm, 1 slug of undetermined caliber of firearm, one suspected pellet, among others.

Further investigation is underway.*
