Local News: 13 Persons Fall in Drug Bust
Thirteen persons were busted in a simultaneous stakeout and buy bust operations conducted jointly by personnel of the Regional Special Operations Group (RSOG), City Anti-Illegal Drugs-Special Operations Group (CAID-SOTG) and Bacolod City Public Safety Company (BCPSC) at Purok Sigay, Brgy. 2 in Bacolod City, yesterday.

Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) head, PSSupt. Ricado T. De la Paz reported that Juvy Dacumos alias Tata, 30, of Purok Sigay, Brgy. 2, was arrested after she handed one plastic sachet containing suspected shabu in exchange for a five hundred peso bill used as marked money to a police poseur buyer.
Recovered from her possession and control after the arrest was made were: one disposable lighter and cash amounting to P580.00 believed to be proceeds of illegal drug sale.
Likewise, about 11:35AM, a stake-out opera-tion was also conducted resulting to the arrest of Avelino Casalda, 33, of Prk. Luhod-Luhod, Brgy. Mandalagan, Henry Cebugal, 27, of Prk. Saber, Brgy. Villamonte and Mark Anthony Jimenez, 38, of Brgy. Handumanan who were reportedly caught in the act having a pot session at Prk. Sigay, Brgy. 2 this city.
Recovered from them were one sliced aluminum foil with visible traces of suspected shabu, two rolled aluminum foil used as pipe in sniffing shabu, two disposable lighters with improvised torch and two pieces of candles.
Meanwhile, apprehended at the house of Norberto Medel, 66, of Brgy Sto. Niño, having a pot session were: Rex Baylon, 49, of Bo. Ma-ao, Bago City; Albert Bombate, 36, of Luzuriaga St.; Eduardo Dela Torre, 24, of Brgy. Villamonte; Emilio Sing, 40, of 2nd St. Lacson, Brgy. 17; Roberto Carasaquit, 29, of Cottage Rd., Brgy. 9; Victor Sagon, 23, of Ramon Magsaysay, Brgy, 14; John Psalm Sebullen, 23, of Mambulok, Brgy. 10 and Joselito Idala, 19, of Brgy. Cansilayan, Murcia.
Confiscated from them were: one improvised tooter with visible traces of suspected shabu, 3 disposable lighters, 6 pieces rolled aluminum foil, one piece sliced aluminum foil and one Fuego brand safety matches.
Reports said, inventory of evidence was witnessed by Brgy. Capt. Emelda J. Banguanga and Brgy. Kgd. Victor D. Aliguin all of Brgy. 2, Bacolod City.
Suspects were immediately brought to the office of CAID-SOTG for record purposes while charges for violation of Republic Act (RA) 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 are being readied against the suspects.
Police personnel involved during the operation were PSInsp. Neil G. Exaltado, (CAID-SOTG) PSInsp. Robert R. Dejucos, of police station 2 and Bacolod City Public Safety Company (BCPSC) led by PSupt. Alex T. Dimaculangan. The suspects are presently detained for further investigation.*
