Local News: Querol to Bid Farewell
The regional director of Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6) based in Camp Martin Delgado, Iloilo City covering Western Visayas, will be leaving the top post of the Philippine National Police in the region early next month.
Querol, in a recent interview over Bombo Radyo Philippines based in Iloilo, said he would be transferring to the national headquarters of the PNP in Camp Crame as a sort of promotion to the rank of a two-star general.
The PRO-6 top brass in the region, however, declined to mention his specific post at the higher hierarchy of the PNP in Camp Crame.
With the development, three probable aspirants are rumored to take over the top post of the PNP in the region following the vacuum as an aftermath of Querol’s new assignment.
Being groomed to replace Querol are Chief Supt. Agrimero Cruz Jr., spokesperson of the PNP; Chief Supt. Gil Hitosis, deputy director of the PNP Directorate for Police Community Relations in Camp Crame; and, Chief Supt. Catalino Rodriguez.*
