hopes in some that somehow the reported split in the ranks of the United Negros
Governor Alfredo Marañon Jr. had earlier reserved comment on the series of rumors of an impending split up of the UNA and the possibility that Alvarez may run against him with former City Mayor of San Carlos Eugenio Lacson as his running mate.
Political manipulators who may have been salivating that they are going to earn enough themselves this forthcoming elections better forget about it. They have to look for other bets than the members of the solid UNA.
