An intelligence officer of any city/provincial police office will be relieved from his post after six (6) unsolved robbery/crime incidents in his area of responsibility.

This directive from PRO 6 director Police chief Supt.Cipriano Querol, Jr was issued to unit commanders, to utilize efficiently their Quad Staff and to make them liable/ accountable for any crime incident that might occur in their respective area of jurisdiction due to incompetence and negligence of duty.

Querol’s policy orders the relief of every Intelligence Officer of the City/Provincial Police Offices in case there will be six (6) unsolved robbery/theft incidents that will transpire in their area of responsibility or in any police station under their jurisdiction regardless of the amount or value taken and the modus operandi.

He said, "I have ordered this policy to make our intelligence officers work efficiently in their basic duty, that is, to provide intelligence to other police operating units in order to pre-empt any nefarious plan of the enemy." "With the proper utilization of intelligence and execution of all PNP anti-criminality plan, I am positive that these criminal elements will be constrained in engaging to lawless activities, and it will be easy for the police to solve any problem on criminality," Querol added.

Police Sr. Insp. Sally Manuel, PIO, PRO 6 said, Querol also ordered the establishment of Barangay Information Nets (BINs) in every barangay for it will surely benefit the PNP in terms of gathering reliable information with intelligence value, monitoring the activities of criminals, and in some cases, will help solve crimes committed in the barangay.

He believes that the trilateral partnership between the local executive, the police and the community is of paramount importance in the maintenance of peace and order in every locality.*
