Events: UNO-R Installs 15th President
The University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos (UNO-R) will install Rev. Fr. Emeterio Digal Buñao, OAR as its 15th Recollect President during the Solemn Installation after the Mass of the Holy Spirit today, June 22, 2012 at the UNO-R Gymnasium.
Fr. Buñao served the University as Vice President for Administration and as Director of Scholarships. He was acting President of the University when the then President, Fr. Dionisio Cachero, OAR, attended a Renewal Course in Brazil in January to February 2012. Fr. Bunao was appointed House Prior of the Recoletos de Bacolod Community for two consecutive terms (2006-2009 and 2009-2012) and also serves as President of the Recoletos Social Outreach Center (RE-SOURCE) in Brgy. Handu-manan. Prior to his election as UNO-R President, he was the 2nd Prior Provincial of the Order of Augustinian Recollects in the Province of St. Ezekiel Moreno (1999-2003). Moreover, he has served as Rector of the OAR Formation houses and as President of OAR schools and as Member of the Board of Trustees of San Miguel Corporation in the early years of his service in the Order of the Augustinian Recollects in the Philippines.
Rev. Fr. Julius M. Marcos, OAR, REAP President and Councilor of the OAR Province of St. Ezekiel Moreno, will be the Main Celebrant during the Mass.*
