Spectators will be entertained tonight as the two top teams in both Class A and Class B will dispute for the title in 2012 Fil-Sino All Asian Countertrade, Incorporated 1st Conference Inter-Color Basketball tournament at the Po Hang Gym of Bacolod Tay Tung High School.

Top seed AACI Trading and Royal Star Transport will face each other in Class A at 8pm, followed by Class B tussle between Organic Solutions and Jast Enterprises.

It was a game of upset in both Class A and B as the lower teams in standing was able to beat their counterparts in the semifinals, like in the case of No.3 Royal Star Transport of eliminating No.2 Huminova Tigers, 88-81 in Class A. In Class B, No. 3 Jast Enterprise also upset No. 2 Basecom, 77-73.

Only the top seeds were able to gets past their opponents; with AACI Trading beating AACI Transport, 102-92. Earlier last week, Organic Solutions defeated JSY Transport, 69-40 to arrange a titular showdown with Jast Enterprise tonight.

Both top seed teams are highly favored to beat their respective opponents.

The Trading is having an 8-1win-loss card in the tourney with the only loss inflicted by AACI Farms that placed dead last in the elimination round.

AACI Transport was held to a 30-29 opening quarter lead with Richard Co and Bong Palo combining for 15 points, while Trading Julius Teruel and Arvin Gustilo picked up 10 points apiece.

But the Trading take the lead at half, 55-51 as its outside shooting hit their marks with Daniel Chiu sinking three triples and Mark Binguan added two triples and teammate Robbie Jalando-on contributed 7 points. It was only Yan Yan Dy who scored 8 points for the Transport.

The Trading still up, 70-65 in the third quarter despite Transport Charlton Ong having 9 points to counter the balance offensive of the Transport.

Palo and Bol Manaloto combined for 13 points in the fourth quarter for Transport but Chiu continue its hot streak in the 3-point area converting three more with teammates Jalando-on and Gustilo combined for 15 points to seal the win.

Gustilo paced Trading with 20 points, Chiu added 18, Jalando-on and Teruel shot 14 each, Johann Villanueva and Charlton Ong made 11 apiece, while Binguan scored 9.

Palo finished with 14 points for the Transport, Chibon Uy added 13, Dy hit 12, Manaloto and Co with 11 each, Jose Miguel Continual 9 and Jolly Castillo 8.

Meanwhile, Michael Ang lifts Royal Star Transport with his six triples in the third quarter to beat No. 2 Huminova Tigers. From a 35-all standoff, Michael Ang did his own to score 19 points in the third quarter alone leading his team, 64-58 going to the fourth quarter and to avenged their two straight losses in the elimination against the same team.

Tigers’ Barangay Captain Biboy Yap could only lessen the impact created by the Royal Star with his 10 points in the same quarter.

Danny Boy Uy, Badong Eufre and RB Chua combined for 19 points as they rallied the Tigers in the payoff quarter, but Royal slowed them down with Rey Pandoro and Matthew Yap frustrating their comeback with 8 and 6 points respectively.

Peter Paul Ortaliz scored a gamehigh16 points, backstopped by Pandoro 13, Matthew Yap 12, Marc Lo and Roger Montalbo with 8 apiece.

Uy finished with 14 points in the losing effort of the Tigers; Monroe Chua and Johnnyson Yu added 12 apiece, RB Chua contributed 11and Ralph Richard Tan had 9.* (with reports from Stephen Tan)
