Local News: Binalbagan Cops Seize Shabu in Raid
Six sachets of suspected shabu were confiscated in a raid conducted by local police authorities in Binalbagan town, about 5:10PM, Friday at Purok Talisa, Brgy. Marina of the said town.
PSInsp. Albert H. Sy led the effect of search warrant number 03 issued by Municipal Trial Court of Binalbagan Judge Rolando Balgos against Cesar Penalba alias Rekong for violation of Republic Act (RA) 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Along with the 6 sachets of suspected shabu, the raiding team also confiscated 8 disposable lighters, one tooter containing residue of suspected shabu, four cellular phones, one Pentax camera, a pair of scissors, 3 pieces of men’s wrist watch and P650 cash.
The operation was witnessed by Brgy. Marina captain Helen Siaotong and Brgy. Kagawad Johnny Muleta.
The seized items were placed under the custody of Binalbagan Police and will be subjected for laboratory examination.
Criminal charges are being prepared to be filed against Penalba, who is presently detained for further investigation.* (RRM)
