Local News: Another Drug Raid Yields ‘Peddler’

Another suspected drug peddler was arrested by operatives of the City Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operations Task Group (CAIDSOTG) and SOG, Monday evening at Brgy, Magsungay in Bacolod City.

PSupt. Santiago Y. Rapiz, CAIDSOTG and Special Operations Group head identified the subject as Willyzer Colango alias Weser, 24, of Purok 6, Brgy. Magsungay who was arrested about 8PM, June 11, 2012.

Recovered from his possession were; one elongated plastic sachet containing suspected shabu, one small plastic sachet containing the same drugs, P200 marked bills and P50 and one unit cellular phone.

The suspect will be facing charges for violation of section 5 (sale) of Republic Act (RA) 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. He is presently detained at CAIDSOTG detention cell.

Earlier that night, a resident of Brgy. Banago was also arrested for the same violation.

Arlie Tipon alias Kana, 49, was nabbed for alleged drug peddling and seized from her were P100 marked bills and one small plastic sachet of suspected shabu. She is detained at CAIDSOTG detention cell.

PSSupt. Ricardo T. Dela Paz, Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) director is intensifying the campaigns against the proliferation of illegal drugs in the City. More possible arrests and confiscation of drugs are expected.*
