Bacolodnons can watch the World Boxing Organization (WBO) Welterwight encounter between the Philippine’s Pambansang Kamao Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao and Timothy Bradley which takes place Sunday, June 10, 2012 at Las Vegas, Nevada, USA via pay per view, courtesy of the Bacolod City government.

PACQUIAO-BRADLEY. Bacolod Mayor Bing Leonardia pays a courtesy call on World Champion & Congressman Manny Pacquiao (left) in his penthouse at The Palazzo in Los Angeles recently. The mayor informed Pacquiao that Bacolod City is anticipating his championship fight versus the undefeated American Timothy Bradley with preparations for the free live via sattelite showing in major and strategic barangays, which traditionally were jampacked in all previous Pacquiao fights. The Champion asked the mayor to extend his thanks for the prayers and support of people in Bacolod City, where he is an "adopted son".*

The office of Executive Assistant Butch Soliguen has identified the strategic places where people can watch the blow by blow account of the Pacman-Bradley encounter. These areas are: BAY Center, gyms at Barangays Granada, Handumanan, Tangub, Singcang-Airport, Sum-ag and Banago.

According to Vice Mayor Thaddy Sayson, acting city mayor, the city has earmarked P30,000.00 for the payment of pay per view showing for the benefit of Bacolodnons who idolize Pacman not only as Filipino boxer, but as adopted son of Bacolod.

Mayor Evelio Leonardia is with the Team Pacquiao in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. Pacman is the only boxer in the world who has garnered 8 championship belts in the history of WBO. He spends for the travel expenses of Mayor Leonardia as member of Team Pacquiao everytime he has a boxing bout abroad. He considers Leonardia as his lucky charm because his "Pareng Bing" is a fortune in his fight.

It is expected that people not only in Bacolod, but all over the country and the world, will be glued before their TV sets to watch their idol, Pacman.*
