Events: Gov. Marañon Gives Insurance Claims to Kins Of Brgy Tanods and Officials

Gov. Alfredo G. Marañon, Jr. distributed checks worth a total of P996,453.85 representing the insurance benefits for the natural and accidental deaths of barangay tanods and officials from the six districts of the province, yesterday.

The distribution of checks to families was held at the Governor’s Office in the presence of barangay captains representing their barangays and Board Member George B. Gitano who chairs the SP Committees on Human Rights and Barangay Affairs.

For an accidental death of a barangay tanod or official, the beneficiaries will receive P100,000, while P50,000 for a natural death, and a medical reimbursement of a maximum of P5,000 for each tanod/official.

In the First District, the beneficiaries were Merchie Empinado of Brgy. Menchaca and Enrequita Cabalquinto of Brgy. Pantao, Municipality of Calatrava; and Imelda Ape of Brgy. Bug-ang and Paterno Ogabang of Brgy. Magticol of the Municipality of Toboso.

In the Second District, the beneficiaries are the children of Sabina Putong of Brgy. Cadiz Viejo, Cadiz City and Remedios Solano of Brgy. Maquiling, Sagay City.

In the Third District, the beneficiaries are Theresa Cabrera and Maribel Cabrera of Brgy. Zone XV, Talisay City and the family of Efren Tina-an of Brgy. Bubog, Talisay City.

In the Fourth District, the beneficiaries were Joeme Demisana of Brgy. Zone 6, Municipality of Pulupandan; Florita Estrabon of Brgy. Pacol, Municipality of Valladolid; the family of late Kgd. Pepe Tañongon of Brgy. San Miguel, La Carlota City; and Nenita Salimbot of Brgy. Taloc, Bago City.

Anamie Lindayao of Brgy. 9, Municipality of Isabela; Lolita Villafranca of Brgy. Pilar, Hinigaran; and the family of Armando Pajaro, Sr. of Brgy. Camalobalo, Hinigaran are the beneficiaries from the Fifth District.

The family of Franco Montaño of Brgy. Agboy, Municipality of Candoni; Herminio Ceballos of Brgy. 1, Sipalay City; Vicenta Estampador of Brgy. 9, Kabankalan City; and Mary Ann Sibug of Brgy. Magballo, Kabanakalan City, are beneficiaries from the Sixth District.*(Capitol News)
