Former City hall employee and now whistleblower, Reynaldo "Butch" Ebreo has reiterated his vow to file charges against Bacolod Mayor Evelio Leonardia, although he said, he has already filed complaints against him with the Deputy Ombudsman for the Visayas in Cebu City, but he will not yet disclosed what the anti-graft complaints are, unless he has already received the formal answer, hopefully soon, he said.

Ebreo said he considers the complaint or complaints he has filed or will file, a serious matter and that he wants to be meticulous about it. Ebreo, the Liberal Party (LP) Vice-Chairman in the province, Magdalo-Bacolod chairman and former city hall employee, carries a similar status with whistleblower Romy Niere, because as a former city hall employee, he was naturally close to the top honcho in city hall.

Gradually, like Niere, he lost trust and confidence in the Bacolod chief executive after what he observed to be the mismanagement of the city’s affairs similar to what Niere had lately realized after arriving from the US.

Among Ebreo’s expose’ recently were what he said were the irregular purchase of office fixtures and furnitures, costing more than P50-M. An office chair he cited for one, costs more than P70,000 something which was unnecessary and exorbitant.

In the case he has filed and which he will file later before the Deputy Ombudsman for the Visayas in an earlier press conference, Ebreo showed a leather portfolio full of incriminating documents against the Bacolod City mayor.*
