Local News: Solinap Re-elected National President of PAGSO

The Philippine Association of General Services Officers, Inc. (PAGSO) held their 7th annual convention last May 23-26, 2012 at the Bacolod Pavillon Hotel. Bacolod City Mayor Evelio R. Leonardia welcomed the 500 delegates from the various LGUs nationwide.

Technical sessions were conducted by representatives of the COA and GPPB. The Bacolod City DRRMO action officer and City Human Resource Management officer lectured on disaster preparedness and office management, respectively.

Rep. Ma. Corazon Zamora-Apsay of Compostela Valley gave an update of HB 0305 that she authored in Congress.

Jerome M. Solinap, CGSO of Bacolod City was re-elected National President. Vice Mayor Jude Thaddeus Sayson inducted the new set of National Officers. Other officers elected are:

Members of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (INC) in the Locale of Tangub and other locales in Bacolod City and Negros Occidental, are inviting the public to their ‘Pamamahayag’, during which they will present the teachings and doctrines of the INC. The Pamamahayag will be held at 7PM on Monday January 9 and on Tuesday 10 at the Tangub chapel and in other locale chapels. Those interested to listen can just come and be guests.
