Local News: Not all Pumps in Gas Stations Have Under-delivery
Not all gas stations in Bacolod City have under-delivery of fuel. However, the task force checking the gasoline stations lead by Vice Mayor Jude Thaddeus Sayson, is beset with problems because the task force is not authorized to padlock the gasoline station if there are under-deliveries.
Thus said Vice Mayor Thaddy Sayson, who admitted that they are not authorized to padlock the gas station with such violation. What they do now is, they send the notice of violation giving the violator 72 hours to answer.
Meantime, while they are sending the notice, the gas operator continues to sell with under-delivery.
Sayson said they are coming up with actions but subject for clearance from the City Treasurer. Meantime, the task force is contemplating on placing the sticker inscribed with "Out of Order", to be placed on the fuel pump found out to have under-delivery.
But, in fairness to the gasoline stations, Sayson said, not all their pumps have under-deliveries. Usually, it is only one pump. Only the pump that has under-delivered machine will be sanctioned. This proposal is still subject to the approval of department heads to be submitted to the City Treasurer.*
