Sugar High: Pool Entertainment

With the sweltering heat of summer, it was a pleasure to spend the day beside the pool. The Manila groupie of Baronessa Eva and Citoy Lopez came to visit

Sagay’s Central Lopez. Of course, the guests immediately took to the cooling waters of the large pool in the Manager’s Compound of the sugar central. There was cool as a cucumber beauty Frannie and her hubby, iconic rocker RJ Jacinto, New Yorkers Reggie and Stephen Young with graceful ballroom dancer blonde Pamela Dutton, Lisa de Castro with Nona Sarangaya and her Columbian hubby.

Laguna Niguel-based artist Wayne Forte who was my artist cousin-in-residence opened the dance floor while dinner was being served. He was followed by Resort Association of Negros Island (RANI) President Bomber Zayco and Punta Bulata Resort and Spa’s Miren Zayco who made the rocking dancers complete with another New Yorker couple, Chita Reyes and Alvaro Pertierra. With the lively music provided by Sagay City’s Kahoneros, the dancing stretched until midnight, way past the scheduled curfew since a Carbin Reef picnic was scheduled early next day.

When La Infanta Cristina "Bibing" Villanueva came to visit Mama, it was a most fun dinner party with the royalettes that included social columnist Luci Lizares-Yunque, real estate diva Ritamar Lizares, interior designer Raymond Fuentes, Tana Dicang Heritage Home’s Adjie Lizares and botanist Tsiak Te. Of course, the evening ended up with La Infanta enjoying a midnight swim with her two beloved cousins. Earlier, there was an impromptu luncheon with coosome twosome Jeanne Fuentebella and hubby hunk Scott Jackson with cousin Maggie Echaus of famed Sea Breeze Hotel. The entire group cooled off the afternoon with an hour at the pool. Hey, that’s the only way to go for summer entertaining!

MY PRAYER

On your exceedingly great mercy, and on that alone, rests all my hope.
