National News: PESO-Bacolod Declared National Best PESO 2011

The Bacolod Public Employment and Services office (PESO) was declared as National Best PESO 2011 - Highly urbanized City Category.

PESO Head Executive Assistant Moises dela Cruz said, this award disproves the claim of some detractors that Cebu has allegedly better employment facilitation than Bacolod. As a matter of fact, dela Cruz said, Bacolod has been a consistent nominee in the national Best PESO award but Cebu was never nominated.

PESO is supporting the vision of the city government, to provide employment to the people of Bacolod. It has facilitated the employment of about 8,701 overseas and 26,000 for local employment,dela Cruz pointed out.

He also said, there will be another jobs fair on June 15 and 16 at the Robinson’s Place Bacolod, giving opportunity for employment of the unemployed.*
