Local News: Retired Teacher Loses Cash to Armed Robbers
A retired public school teacher lost her cash after being robbed by armed men while waiting in front of their house at Brgy. Poblacion, Bago City, about 7:10PM, Saturday.
Police report disclosed that Josefina Latido, 64, of Purok Balongay, Brgy. Poblacion was with her husband, Eddie, 67, in front of their house and waiting at the gate when two unidentified persons armed with handguns and donned with face mask approached them and grabbed her bag.
Latido’s husband resisted to give the bag containing cash but one of the suspects fired his gun in the air and grabbed the bag back containing P35,000 and other important documents of the victims’ grocery store.
The suspects then withdrew and boarded a red-colored motorcycle towards East direction when they escaped.
Police investigators were able to recover two live ammunitions from a .38 caliber revolver at the crime scene. Follow-up probe to identify the suspects is ongoing.*
