Sports: 15th Dr. Pablo O. Torre Sr. Memorial Golf Tournament Set

The 15th Dr. Pablo O. Torre, Sr. Memorial Golf Tournament reels off on May 25-27, 2012, which will be held at the Negros Occidental Golf and Country Club in Brgy. Bata, Bacolod City.

Some 300 avid golfers from all over the country and abroad have already signified their intention to join the three-day (2 days to play) competition. This charitable contest will help support the varied programs of the Foundation, not only in Bacolod City, but also throughout the province of Negros Occidental.

The proceeds of this week’s competition will be for the benefit of the Dr. Pablo O. Torre Foundation, Inc., and the St. Vincent’s Home for the Aged, the Bacolod Kadughan Foundation, and St. John Marie Vianney Domus Dei.

Scoring in the 36-hole tournament, individual play, will be through the Stableford System Revised USCA and RPGA rules will also be adopted.

Hole-in-one prizes are in store for the lucky golfers as well as attractive door prizes and gift items are in store for all the participants.

There will be a Holy Mass at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 26, 2012 at the golf club.* (WHOStreegan)

Members of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (INC) in the Locale of Tangub and other locales in Bacolod City and Negros Occidental, are inviting the public to their ‘Pamamahayag’, during which they will present the teachings and doctrines of the INC. The Pamamahayag will be held at 7PM on Monday January 9 and on Tuesday 10 at the Tangub chapel and in other locale chapels. Those interested to listen can just come and be guests.
