Local News: Provincial Officials Turn Over Computer Sets

All 19 municipalities of Negros Occidental received two sets of computer with printer from Gov. Alfredo G. Marañon, Jr., Vice Gov. Genaro Alvarez, Jr. and Sangguniang Panlalawigan Members in a turn over ceremony held at the SP Lobby, yesterday.
Recipients of the said equipment are the 19 Municipal Assessor’s Office and Municipal Treasurer’s Office for a more efficient tax collection with the end goal of improving government services to the people.

Present in the turnover were Board Members Nehemias Dela Cruz, Sr. (1st District), Salvador Escalante, Jr. and Miller Serondo (2nd District), Patrick Lacson (3rd District), Mae Javellana and Jose Benito Alonso (4th District), Melvin Ibañez (5th District), Pedro Zayco, Jr. (6th District), and Raul Rivera (PCL).
Board Member Escalante, SP Committee chair on Finance said that the project is part of the provincial government’s reward given by the Department of Interior and Local Government to Negros Occidental after being adjudged as Hall of Famer for Excellence in Good Governance in the whole Region VI.*(Capitol News)
