Sports: Negros-Ceres Battles Cebu FA for Its 6th Win

Negros Occidental Football Association manned by Ceres-University of St. La Salle is looking for its sixth victory today when they battle University of San Jose-Recoletos (USJ-R)-bannered Cebu Football Association in the ongoing Philippine Football Federation (PFF) Suzuki Cup U23 regional qualifying set at the San Carlos City football pitch, 2pm.

Negros-Ceres assistant coach Ali Rojas Go said they will continue to harness their offense as well as their transition from defense to offense. Although their games are high scoring, Go explained that improvement in this tournament is still needed and they will work out some of their errors in this tournament.

During their first encounter against Cebu FA at Don Bosco Boys Home in Liloan, Northern Cebu, NOFA won 4-1. J Baguiro led NOFA with 2 goals while Jimuel Ariola and Michael Continedo delivered one goal apiece as Junjun Pintuan scored the lone goal for Cebu.* (JGToga)
