Local News: Cops Intercept ‘Robbers’ of Chicken in Ilog

Six suspected robbers were intercepted by 6th Maneuver Platoon of Negros Occidental in coordination with Ilog Police Station about 2AM, Saturday at Brgy. Dancalan during a checkpoint operation.

PSupt. Armando Tubongbanua, NOPPSC head with PInsp. Teddy Velez arrested Rodulfo Colita, 24, of Brgy. To-oy, Himamaylan City who drives a red-colored Honda Tricycle with plate number 060601 along with his 5 other passengers and the chicken believed to be stolen from the poultry farm owned by Warren Gil.

Other arrested persons were; Bonbon Armada, Ronilo Trayco, Bert Rendon, Regie Basinilio and Robert Trayco, all of Brgy. To-oy in Himamaylan City.

Recovered from them were forty chicken 22 of which were dead during the confiscation and were loaded inside a tricycle owned by Ronnie Cordero, of Brgy. Talubangi, Kabankalan City.

All arrested persons were brought to Ilog Police for further investigation; while the vehicle and the chicken were also endorsed to the said police station for custody of evidence.*
