Local News: Aviation Cops Collar Passenger Bound for Manila for his Gun
A passenger of Cebu Pacific Airline bound for Manila was arrested, early morning Saturday at the initial security checkpoint of the airport for alleged possession of a gun and ammunitions by the PNP Aviation Security Group.
PSInsp. Rommen Ybañez and SPO1 Julio Santiago, of PNP Aviation SG arrested Ruel Rosales, 34, a foreman of RS Developer Company Incorporated for having in his possession a 9mm black widow revolver with 11 live ammunitions without license.
Rosales, 34, a native of Leyte and presently residing at 47-B Pag-asa St., Brgy. 130 Caloocan City was about to board the 5J 484 flight of Cebu Pacific Airlines bound for Manila on April 27, 2012 at 9:55PM when he was intercepted while being checked at the initial security screening checkpoint of the New Bacolod-Silay Airport, Brgy. Bagtic in Silay City.
The suspect was turned over to Silay City Police Station for further investigation.* (RRM)
