Events: Gov. Signs Bull Loan Contracts with Breeders
Gov. Alfredo G. Marañon, Jr. signed three separate contracts with breeders for a loan of three Simmental/Brahman cross-bred bulls at the Governor’s Office, last week.
The project is in line with the Provincial Animal Genetic Improvement Project of the provincial government.

The borrowers, namely: Louie Martin of Brgy. Sibucao, Municipality of San Enrique; Claude L. Schulze of Brgy. Calumangan, Bago City; and Gabriel Teodoro Yulo of Brgy. Gargato, Municipality of Hinigaran, each received one head of two-year old bull that has a book value of P100,000 per head.
Under the contract, the borrower agrees to take care and manage the bull in accordance with the standards set by the Provincial Veterinary Office (PVO) under Dr. Renante Decena and to provide adequate housing facilities, corrals, enclosures and pastures.
Moreover, the ownership of the bull loaned shall remain with PVO and the animal shall be kept in the borrower’s address and shall not be removed from said place nor be sold without prior notice or written permission from the PVO.
It is also stated in the contract that the borrower shall return the bull upon expiration or revocation of contract, and pay one female calf or pay the book value of the animal. The borrower shall also submit a monthly report to PVO regarding the condition of the animal and its breeding services such as number of animals bred and offspring produced.* (Capitol News)
