Events: BFP - National Conducts AGI-ORSITE in Silay City

Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) from the national office conducted the Annual General Inspection-Operational Readiness Site Inspection, Test and Evaluation (AGI-ORSITE) at Silay City Fire Station yesterday, April 24, 2012. Silay City OIC Fire Chief Vince Aldeguer said Fire Senior Inspector Evangeline Pangan, Fire Inspector Janet Germaniac and Supt. Cortez from the BFP national office evaluated the city fire station’s level of preparedness in times of disaster and fire call. Fire officers’ uniform was inspected as well as the equipment and the collected fire code fees in the city. During the inspection, several concerns were raised to the inspecting team in order to improve operations of the station as well as to intensify collection of the fire code fees.

"The city has collected a total of Php 47,721.00 fire code fees for the month while for February, is Php106,817.66. There were ten fire personnel from the DILG and thirty volunteers who are currently serving the city," Aldeguer reported.* (Joanzen D. Dedo-roy)
