Local News: Cousins Shot in Pontevedra
Two cousins were confined in a hospital facility for sustaining gunshot wounds in their body after being attacked by a neighbor in Pontevedra town.
Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOPPO) reports revealed that Joemarie Agraciada, 39, and John Mark Agraciada, 19, both of Purok Caingin, Brgy. 3, Pontevedra were wounded when allegedly shot by their neighbor identified as Michael Sitchon.
The incident took place, Friday evening and was reported to local police authorities by the town’s Rescue Unit.
SPO3 Rafael Elegio Jr., who conducted the initial investigation said that Sitchon, 30 year old, used a .38 caliber homemade revolver to shoot the victims and left the firearm when he left the crime scene.
Police also recovered 4 empty shells from a .38 caliber revolver, one live ammunition and the said firearm without serial number.
The case is under further investigation to determine the motive of the shooting
and to apprehend the suspect.*
