Local News: City Extends Financial Help to Former Employee Stricken with Thyroid Disease
A former city employee suffering from a thyroid disease received medical assistance from a representative of City Mayor Atty. Evelio "Bing" Leonardia.

Concepcion Baron, 48, former street cleaner and mother to 10 children, received her check from Ms. Maria Elena Magbanua, a Public Affairs and Assistance Division (PAAD) Zone I coordinator.
Upon the request of Barangay No. 3 Captain Ricky Feloteo coursed through PAAD, Leonardia immediately acted on the case of Baron.
According to Dr. Lyka Escora, a CLMMH physician, Baron is suffering from a Graves impending to Storm thyroid disease.
Aside from an enlarged thryroid, Baron is also asthmatic and her husband who is also a city employee just recovered from stroke.
Meanwhile, more medical and burial assistance checks are due for release at the Mayor’s Office tomorrow for the city’s impoverished and needy residents, according to Magbanua.*
