Iloilo quartet in both the elementary boys and girls’ with secondary boys reset the regional meet records of 4 X 40 meter relay at the close of the 2012 Western Visayas Regional Athletic Association (WVRAA) meet at the Panaad Park and Sports Stadium oval in Barangay Mansilingan, Bacolod City Friday.

The elementary quartet of Ronald Lacson, Ronel Aberca, Jason Fernandez and CJ Francis Tobongbanua clocked 04:00.55 seconds to erase the WVRAA record in the event of 04:02.72 seconds set in 2009 in Capiz by Iloilo runners. In elementary girls, the Iloilo quartet of Chenie Narisma, Pamela Marquellero, Ezel Divinagracia and Jobelle Posadas set a new regional meet record (04:22.68) to eclipse the old record of (04: 25.33) set by Iloilo runners in the 2010 WVRAA in Aklan.
