Cops Bust Two Men in Drug Raid
La Carlota City and Silay City Police offices busted two men in separate anti-drug operations Thursday night resulting to the seizure of drugs and paraphernalia.
Police reports disclosed Edgardo Flores alias Botoy, 41, of Pokatod Gan Subdivision and Mark Guisinga, alias Totoy, 31, of Sitio Carolina, Brgy. II, were apprehended during a search and seizure operation led by PSInsp. Eduardo B. Corpuz for alleged violation of Republic Act (RA) 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
The raid was effected through warrant number 2012-001 issued by Judge George S. Patriarca resulting to the confiscation of the following; two-heated transparent plastic sachet with suspected shabu, one transparent empty plastic sachet with traces of suspected shabu, one disposable lighter, and two pieces of aluminum foil with traces of suspected shabu. They were recovered inside the suspects’ house.
The operation was also assisted by SPO4 Jan Gallenero, SPO1 Arnolfo Robles, SPO1 Agapito Pabilario, PO3 Narciso Cadenas, PO2 Ryan Severino, PO2s Andre John Tajonera, Polen Jabagat, Neil Tilanas and Niniveh Mallorca; PO1s Hadjie Dela Cruz, Ruel Ga and Alklim Ansel, among others.
The proceeding was witnessed by local village officials, Vicente Baliguat, Jerry Tan and Gladwyn Ngitnghit.
The suspects are detained; while charges are being prepared by PO2 Jonathan Calma to be filed against them.
Over Silay City, another person was arrested by local police officers in a buy-bust operation at Sitio Matagoy, Brgy. Rizal.
Nabbed was Chemy Conlu, with aliases Cyril and Gamay, 38, by PO3 RayJay Rebadomia with PO2 Reynaldo Bernil Jr. and PO2 Ian Libo-on.
Seized from the suspect were; one small heat-sealed transparent sachet containing suspected shabu bought from him by a poseur buyer, 3 small heat-sealed transparent sachet containing suspected shabu recovered from his possession, P250.00 marked bills, P980.00 cash believed to be proceeds from the sale of the illegal drugs and a cellular phone.
Conlu is detained and facing drug charges in court.* (RRM)
