Cops Arrest 2 Men for ‘Selling’ Guns

Two men in EB Magalona were arrested by members of La Carlota City Police for allegedly selling firearms in plain sight at about 5:40 p.m., Thursday at Crossing Alicante, Brgy. Alicante.

PSInsp. Arnold Mesias with SPO1 Mateo Requintina arrested Danilo Despe, 42, of Brgy. Mantaangan, EB Magalona and Diego Gonzaga, 37, of Brgy. E. Lopez for allegedly selling and making transactions to sell an illegal firearm.

Police officers confiscated a 12-gauge shotgun Volt Action with magazine loaded with 4 live ammunitions. No license or proof of registration was presented during the said operation.

Further investigation is underway, while criminal charges are being prepared to be filed against them.*
